GROUPER Dragging a Dead Deer Up a Hill, 2008 Listen along with me in full here! :) (45 mins) Listen to just my favourite track here! :P                                                                         Listen to my second favourite track here!:0 It's queued.  1, 0:00, Disengaged ~ How are you thinking? ~ For months now, I have been running. Running because it makes me feel good in my head. No purpose beyond that really. Just legging it.  Every time I run, I come across many introspective questions, some repeatedly, some fleetingly, some which I undoubtably have forgotten about. One that sticks with me most is judgement. Lost At Sea. Link to video here to listen along together! :P 0:00 ~ How are you feeling? ~   I read something recently about the power of avoiding day to day phrases we hear about life.  We become scarily robotic and automated when hearing "how's it going" "are you alright" for the 4th time in a week as well as how these questions simply stimulate mindless responses of "yeah I’m fine wby", "lockdowns shit, could be worse".  How crazy is the power such minimal effort of choosing different vocabulary can have? And that is where real life lies thanks chica 3:44 The euphoria this song gives me is so elating.  You can FEEL the pressure building, depositing itself as energy pushing out from within your being. It really is an entire movie script w...

Coney Island . Link to video here - listen along with me!!  :P 0:26 So, I've just had the idea of blogging for the length of long songs and writing whatever comes to mind. This should help me set aside time more often and incorporate my wish to really sit and listen intently to music more frequently too so that’s cool. Song of the day being my favourite long-form song, SLEEP by Godspeed You! Black Emperor. 3:32 I love how beautiful and majestic and rich the instrumentation of this song can be. There’s so much depth across the entire 23 minutes. An uneasiness within the comfortability of following the slow builds and overly repetitive sounds. Such progression feels like a real microcosm of life to me. Chaos and order in constant battle and, naive to themselves, producing beauty for those who can master the eye of the observer. 9:13 I got my graduate scheme offer today. This was for BU-UK and I received it midway through my run. I knew I was going to get it because of the fortune coo...
